3rd Meet in Brighton September 2014 Hi Gabs and many tks for a job well done

Hi Bwana,

Trust alls well with you all and I submit the following feedback that you requested for your visual scrutiny...

Di and I were the first to arrive at the venue and reported for "duty"  an easy trip in from Hitchin at noon.

The weather was great, plenty of blue skies and little wind and the sun was out in all its glory and enjoyed temps between 15 and 20 degrees centigrade whilst we were there

By 1pm all members expected arrived with the exception of Pauline Rudge and I emailed my thoughts about that in my previous email to you...a bit weird methinks since Di and I saw a lady peering  through the windows where we sat and she seemed very wary about coming indoors if infact it was her...???

Everyone including me within easily recognized the somewhat slim frame of Jimmy Carlisle and by his facial mannerism..a kind of friendly snarl around his lower cheeks, mouth and lips region and he seemed engulfed within the group for a long period of time..an amazing bald headed guy with a great sense of humour!!! The resemblance to his mugshot in the 1961 cricket team is uncanny even without his hair!

Unfortunately Leslie did not attend but I had the new woven PC badge on my jacket top pocket for all to see and they were all impressed..sure it will not be long before all members will get there badges at the next venue unless Leslie chooses to send them to us before the 4th meet in March 2015 ..dates to be agreed by as many of us as possible PG..

All the girls got on very well with each other and there were many funny and uplifting moments during the day which is a shame you and the other absentees were unable to share. It was a real revelation how the rest of the day went.!!!

Unfortunately the downside was that the time together just flew by and before we knew it it was early evening when the group disbanded

bah!! and a great day was had by all attendees.

Mentioning downsides however after I had prearranged with the manager of the venue that EACH member or couple would pay for their own meal drinks etc. he was unable to do that and though 3 or 4 of us paid for ours the rest were confronted with a total mass sum to pay and that was a real shame since the next hour was spent working out who pays what...The 4 who had no problems had listed their nosh etc. plus the 10% service charge so there was no way there would be any problems...perhaps if we use the same venue again it would be useful if all diners whether singles or couples priced and wrote down the costs of their own meals etc. alternatively a new venue can be sought by the group before our next meet..subject to agreement.

Well amigo that's about all so although the group now boasts 19 total members it is a shame only 11 appeared but lets hope we can get more by gentle persuasion and ex pupil investigation which I and hope others will try to find before next March.

Shalom Aleichem and all the very best to you all.
