An Israeli Diplomat, caused some smiles at a recent gathering of world diplomacy at the United Nations:
The Israeli representative had just been called on to make his speech. 
"Before I begin, and with your kind permission, I wish to tell a short story about Moses.
When Moses struck the rock which turned into a clear water source, he said to himself: "What a great opportunity to cleanse myself!"
 
He took off his vestments which he carefully folded and lay on a nearby rock and entered the water. 
 
When he came out of the water, his clothes had disappeared, stolen by a Palestinian."
This created a furor amid the Arab group and the angry representative from Palestine stood up, gesticulating and screaming thus interrupting the speech and shouted:  "What are you talking about?"  Palestinians were nowhere in that region during those times!"
The smiling Israeli Diplomat calmly replied:  "Now that this has been clearly established, I will start my speech".
